Earlier....
Well, I had stated that we would never have a pig. Guess what? We have one: Tessie She came from a friend of an
employee at the Nampa pound. She is a 2 year old Miniature Vietnamese Potbellied pig, weighs in at 35-40 pounds, and well, the pictures tell the story.
Summer 1999....
She is not 35-40 pounds. She is more like 65. And most of it is the belly. The name says it all. The books
say shecan have unlimited grazing, and that is exactly what is happening. She also gets 1/2 cup of pig food, veggies andsome cheerios for treats. She eats anything but broccoli. The sounds are the best.
I will try to get some recordings of some of the 10 or 20 sounds, including the loud smacking when she eats.

She is more towards 100 pounds, and maybe slowing down. Tessie is very protective of her "nest" and makes big
noises and roots around when Virginia messes with it. So far, she hasn't said anything to me.
