Continuing on...
The finished frame came back from the sandblaster and we put it up on the hoist at Eagle Chevron. This station has been around forever, owned and run by Rick. Brent, the expert car builder works for Rick. So anyway, we put the frame up on the hoist and then proceeded to paint it with a rust-loving paint called Hammerlite. That took about 2 hours.
Brent and I then went to our house where we began the disassembly of the cab. We finished that at about 3:00pm. Early next week, the cab goes to the sandblaster and then to Boise Collision Repair, where another of our good buddies will begin the final painting. The finished frame is now at home, in the driveway, waiting for the engine, fabricated drive shaft, exhaust system, rear end gears, gas
tank, power brake system, power steering and chassis wiring.
As we finish the cab, the front end comes next...
More updates later.
